Where do your Mesenchymal Stem Cells come from ?
The Mesenchymal Stromal/Stem Cells (MSCs) used at Phuket Stem Cells Center are derived from human umbilical cord tissue obtained from carefully screened donors. Donor eligibility is assessed through documented medical history and appropriate screening procedures designed to reduce the risk of transmissible diseases and ensure traceability from donation through processing.
Following collection, the umbilical cord tissue is processed under controlled laboratory conditions. The resulting MSC preparations undergo defined quality-control procedures and are preserved and stored according to the applicable laboratory protocols and standards for cell handling, identification, traceability, and storage.

How are the treatments administered ?
The method of administration depends on the type of therapy, the area being targeted, and your individual treatment protocol. Following your medical assessment, our physician will determine the most appropriate route of administration for your specific situation.
Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) may be administered through an intravenous (IV) infusion when a systemic approach is selected, or through a local injection when treatment is intended to target a specific anatomical area, such as a joint or musculoskeletal structure. The route and treatment plan are determined according to the clinical indication and physician’s assessment.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is administered by local injection directly into or around the targeted area. PRP is prepared from your own blood and is commonly used in selected musculoskeletal and aesthetic applications. When clinically appropriate, imaging guidance may be used to improve the precision of the injection.
Natural Killer (NK) Cells are administered through a controlled intravenous (IV) infusion, allowing the cells to enter the systemic circulation. The procedure is performed under medical supervision, with appropriate monitoring according to the treatment protocol.

How long should I plan to stay in Phuket for my treatment ?
The time required in Phuket depends on the type of treatment you receive. Our medical team will provide you with a personalized schedule in advance so that you can plan your stay accordingly.
For Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) therapy, we generally recommend planning 2 days in Phuket. On Day 1, you will undergo your medical consultation, health screening, and required blood tests. Once your physician has reviewed the results and confirmed your eligibility, the stem cell treatment is performed on Day 2, followed by appropriate medical observation and post-treatment instructions.
For NK Cell therapy, the process requires a longer interval. On Day 1, a blood sample is collected and sent to our partner laboratory, where the NK cells are prepared and expanded under controlled laboratory conditions. The NK cell infusion is typically scheduled approximately 20 days later, subject to completion of the laboratory process and final medical clearance.
For Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), the entire procedure can generally be completed on the same day. Your blood is collected, processed to prepare the PRP, and the resulting preparation is administered locally according to your treatment protocol.
If you are travelling internationally, we recommend coordinating your travel dates with our medical team before booking your flights, particularly for NK Cell therapy, as laboratory preparation times and individual medical requirements may affect the final schedule.
Are there possible side effects after treatment ?
As with any medical procedure, regenerative therapies may cause side effects, although their nature and intensity vary depending on the treatment, route of administration, and individual patient response.
Following Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) therapy, some patients may experience temporary fatigue, headache, mild fever, chills, nausea, or discomfort related to the injection or IV infusion. Local injections may also cause temporary pain, swelling, or stiffness around the treated area.
After PRP treatment, the most common reactions are localized and temporary, including pain, tenderness, swelling, bruising, or stiffness at the injection site.
With NK Cell therapy, temporary reactions associated with intravenous administration may occur, including fever, chills, fatigue, headache, or flu-like symptoms. Patients are therefore appropriately monitored during and after administration.

For PRP therapy, the number of injections varies according to the area being treated and the clinical indication.
